Dunkin' Summer Splash: Dunkin’Terns, Iced Beverages, and Joyful Initiatives

Dunkin', America’s second-largest coffee chain, is shaking up summer with an exciting new campaign featuring a star-studded lineup of celebrities and influencers. From actor Will Arnett to the renowned content creator Corporate Natalie, this season’s Dunkin’Terns are set to redefine cool with Dunkin’ Iced Coffee, Refreshers, and SPARKD’ Energy.

In addition, Dunkin' enthusiasts can mark their calendars for Iced Coffee Day on June 20th. This annual event not only offers a cool way to kick off summer but also supports the Dunkin' Joy in Childhood Foundation.

Summer Campaign Launch 

Dunkin' has launched a new campaign this summer featuring a fresh lineup of celebrities to promote its iced beverages. This season, the focus is on a diverse group of Dunkin'Terns, including actor Will Arnett and Corporate Natalie (Natalie Marshall), a well-known content creator known as the "CEO of Work-From-Home Jokes."

The campaign introduces a dynamic approach with Dunkin’terns, handpicked to highlight Dunkin’ Iced Coffee, Dunkin’ Refreshers, and Spark'D Energy by Dunkin’. Will Arnett and Corporate Natalie are at the helm, guiding this innovative team in a series of episodic adventures designed to captivate audiences across generations.

This initiative kicked off on June 17th, marking a strategic move by Dunkin’ to blend the appeal of beloved celebrities with the creativity of social media influencers. Together, they aim to make Dunkin’ Iced beverages a staple in every hand this summer through unexpected collaborations and irresistible cold drink offerings.

Part one of the campaign consists of a creative "Orientation" commercial that introduces viewers to a vibrant group of interns. Although Ben Affleck is absent, the ad showcases a quirky robot resembling the actor-director. Central to the campaign is "Big Dunkin’ Iced Energy," a clever nod to current slang trends, spotlighting Dunkin’s iced beverages.

The Influencer List 

Throughout the season, the star-studded intern team will unveil a series of "summer projects" designed to celebrate Dunkin’ Iced. 

  • Joey Fatone and A.J. McLean, renowned for their boy band roots, are crafting a song for Dunkin’s debut EP inspired by their favourite, Dunkin’s iced coffee.

  • A stylish back-to-school option will be available when designer Yoon Ahn introduces a vibrant capsule collection that takes inspiration from Dunkin' Refreshers. 
  • Chef Nick DiGiovanni collaborates with Dunkin’s Chef Dan Cole to concoct an innovative "Iced Coffee Mixology" menu, featuring exclusive treats like the Blueberry Donut Iced Coffee.

  • Twitch streamer SypherPK is teaming up with Dunkin’ and Twitch Rivals to create SPARKD’ Energy by Dunkin’, a thrilling gaming experience with Oni Studios.

  • Actress Maia Reficco, Miss Massachusetts USA 2024 winner Melissa Sapini, plant stylist Hilton Carter, and others will also contribute their talents to amplify Dunkin’ Iced throughout the summer.

In the inaugural installment hosted by Will Arnett and Corporate Natalie at Dunkin’ HQ, the Dunkin’Terns—experts from diverse pop culture realms—are challenged to elevate "big Dunkin’ Iced Energy" to new heights. Creation Process

The multi-part episodic series campaign marks the continuation of their partnership with Artists Equity, co-founded by Ben Affleck and Matt Damon. This creative collaboration with Artists Equity, known for its innovative productions, including a recent Super Bowl commercial featuring Affleck, Damon, Jennifer Lopez, and Tom Brady, underscores Affleck's affinity for Dunkin'. This series promises to build on the success of previous campaigns, capturing Affleck's and Damon's unique perspectives in engaging and memorable ways.

Dunkin’ Summer Drinks 

Dunkin’ is ramping up its summer offerings with a refreshing lineup designed to keep you cool and energized. Alongside their iconic Iced Coffee, the brand is highlighting two other favourites: Dunkin’ Refreshers and SPARKD’ Energy drinks.

Iced Coffee remains a cornerstone of Dunkin’s summer menu, renowned for its freshly brewed taste and versatility. With over 4,500 customization options, guests can enjoy their perfect blend, ensuring each sip is as smooth and satisfying as the last.

Dunkin’ Refreshers adds a fruity twist to summer refreshments, available in Mango Pineapple, Strawberry Dragonfruit, and the limited-time Kiwi Watermelon flavour. These drinks can be mixed with either Green Tea or Lemonade, providing a delightful burst of flavour with every sip.

For those needing an extra boost, SPARKD’ Energy drinks are the go-to choice. Available in Berry Burst and Peach Sunshine flavours, SPARKD’ Energy combines essential vitamins, minerals, and caffeine in a refreshing iced format, perfect for powering through summer days.

Ice Coffee Day 

With the arrival of summer on June 20th, Dunkin' is getting ready for its much-anticipated Iced Coffee Day. This annual event, eagerly awaited by coffee connoisseurs across America, promises more than just a refreshing beverage. On this special day, Dunkin' will donate $1 to the Dunkin' Joy in Childhood Foundation for every iced coffee and cold brew sold at participating Dunkin' locations. This charitable initiative aims to support children's hospitals nationwide, reflecting Dunkin's commitment to making a meaningful impact with every sip you take.

Additionally, to celebrate the day, the Dunkin’ Joy in Childhood Foundation is launching the "Painting with Joy" program in partnership with hospitals across the country. This initiative aims to bring joy to patients and their families through art therapy while raising awareness of Dunkin’s annual Iced Coffee Day fundraiser. Events will be held in hospitals nationwide, featuring "Painting with Joy" sessions in Joyful Spaces where available. These sessions offer children of all ages the chance to create art, from painting Dunkin’ Donuts to expressing their creativity on canvas.

Dunkin' is not only spreading warmth through its chain of over 13,200 global locations but also offering a delightful treat for iced coffee enthusiasts. They are launching a limited-edition iced coffee-inspired iPhone case, available for purchase at $15. The case, designed to resemble the beloved beverage complete with floating “ice cubes,” will be released on Thursday, June 20, at 12 p.m. ET on ShopDunkin.com. What makes this initiative even sweeter is that all proceeds from sales will go towards supporting the Dunkin’ Joy in Childhood Foundation.
