These developments aim to address housing shortages, stimulate economic growth, and introduce innovative architectural designs. Below is an overview of some of the most notable real estate projects currently underway worldwide.

1. Neom, Saudi Arabia

Overview: Neom is a $500 billion initiative in Saudi Arabia's Tabuk Province, envisioned as a futuristic city spanning 26,500 square kilometers. It aims to diversify the economy beyond oil dependence, integrating cutting-edge technology, sustainability, and luxury. Neom is divided into several zones, each tailored to a specific aspect of living, working, and recreation.

The Line:

This 170-kilometer-long linear city is designed to house 9 million residents in a car-free, zero-emission environment. Residents will access facilities through a high-speed transportation system capable of reaching destinations in under 20 minutes. The city will be powered entirely by renewable energy and feature AI-driven systems for seamless living. Construction began in 2021, with the first phase expected to be operational by 2030.

Oxagon:

Set to be the largest floating industrial complex globally, Oxagon will focus on advanced manufacturing, robotics, and clean energy industries. It incorporates smart logistics systems and automated ports to streamline trade and commerce. Construction started in late 2022, with key sections expected to open by 2026. Upon completion, Oxagon will also serve as a residential and recreational hub, blending urban living with waterfront views.

Trojena:

This mountainous tourism destination is a year-round attraction designed for adventure seekers and luxury travelers. Trojena will feature ski slopes, mountain biking trails, and glamping resorts. The centerpiece will be the "Lake Village," a floating village set on a man-made lake. Trojena aims to host major events, including the 2029 Asian Winter Games. Sindalah:

Neom’s luxury island destination spans 840,000 square meters and is designed to attract the global yachting elite and affluent travelers. Sindalah includes an 86-berth marina, 440 luxury rooms, 88 villas, and 218 serviced apartments, complemented by a beach club, a world-class golf course, and fine dining options. Sindalah opened to visitors in October 2024, marking it as the first operational region in Neom. It is projected to attract 2,400 visitors daily by 2028.

2. The Red Sea Project, Saudi Arabia
